The Agilent (now Keysight) 85070E is a Dielectric Probe Kit with a frequency range from 200 MHz to 50 GHz, used with an Agilent (now Keysight) network analyzer, determines the intrinsic electromagnetic properties of many dielectric materials. Because these properties are determined by the molecular structure, they can be related to other properties of interest as well.

It is useful in all stages of a product's lifecycle:

Design, incoming inspection, process monitoring, and quality assurance

For example, it can provide important information about materials used in state-of-the-art RF and microwave electronic components and can be related to a material's electromagnetic properties:

Biomass, bulk density, bacterial content, and chemical concentration

Frequency range: 200 MHz to 50 GHz

Measures complex permittivity over a broad frequency range

Results can be viewed in a variety of formats: er', er", tan delta, and Cole-Cole

Software runs on a PC, or internally on the PNA Series of network analyzer and guides user through easy calibration and measurement

Data is easily shared with other Windows-based programs or through the user programmable Component Object Model (COM) Interface
